When it comes to making stupid little mistakes, I take home the gold. ( Not that I'm proud of it)
Wheather its asking a rude question or saying something that offends someone, which can sometimes lead to guilt or emabarrasment. And sometimes it can lead to someone not wanting to forgive. It says in God's word that we are to love one another.
"This is my command: Love each other." John 15:17
God also tells us what love is. That love does not keep any record of wrongs.
Read 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
So therefore, if someone asks for forgiveness, shouldn't we forgive and forget? I'm not saying that it is easy or that I always do forgive and forget. God forgives us, if we ask for forgiveness with an honest heart, and he says that we should look towards the future instead of focusing on the past. ( as I read in my devotional bible )
"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me hevanward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:14
"In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace." Ephesians 1:7
" But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his son, purifies us from all sin." 1 John 1:7
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, The author and perfecter of oyur faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:1-2
And I pray that God will help me forgive others mistakes, and to be like him in the way he forgives us.

Forgiveness is hard, I agree. Keep working through this and keep us posted on any wisdom you can share. It's hard for all of us.
Love you,
Bakes
PS - Great scriptures.
